The Media Council of Kenya (MCK) on Friday held a consultative meeting with the Kenya Editors Guild (KEG) ahead of the upcoming Annual Editors Convention.
The session focused on strengthening coordination frameworks, streamlining event protocols, and fostering deeper collaboration between government, media stakeholders, and industry players.
Leaders from both institutions — MCK Chief Executive Officer David Omwoyo and KEG President Zubeidah Kananu — reaffirmed their joint commitment to advancing professionalism, innovation, and dialogue within Kenya’s media sector.
The upcoming convention is expected to provide a platform for critical reflection on the state of media freedom, sustainability, and leadership in the evolving digital landscape.
